« As Treasurer of the World Atlatl Association I want to let you know of changes to the PayPal account that will be occurring soon.

You may receive an e-mail that your recurring payment of World Atlatl Association dues has been cancelled–and here is the reason…. NOTE: the last payment you made is still valid and you are still a member of WAA as indicated on your membership card! Only the « recurring » aspect has been cancelled.

Justin was the previous WAA Treasurer who set up our PayPal account and as such was the « primary owner ». Justin and I have tried for about 6 months to change the primary owner to me without success. We have decided to take the advice of a PayPal representative and cancel our current account. I will then set up a new PayPal account. After that, our web master, Janeen, will need to incorporate the new account into our website.

Check the website for any further updates, and/or send me an e-mail with any of your questions or concerns. »

Pas de nouvelle depuis ….

Je viens d’écrire à Anita Lukes pour renouveler mon adhésion (dont la date anniversaire est en juillet.)
Je ne trouve pas de compte PAYPAL sur le site, je ne sais donc pour l’instant quoi faire pour renouveler mon adhésion.

En fait Paypal est un truc programmé par des sapiens, les ordinateurs bloquent un nouveau trésorier ou trésorière.
Il faut supprimer le compte et en réactiver un autre, les protections, pour la sécurité ( à la noix, comme d’hab) empêchent l’opération… En plus il y a des évèmements tous les W.E. donc on est très occupé…..

En fait il faut faire comme précédemment, remplir le formulaire, en France on sait faire et le renvoyer…. 😆
Faut juste une enveloppe et un timbre en plus. Un chèque en Euros, oui.
Ou alors tu demande à ta banque un chéquier en dollars……. 😆

Bon si on n’a plus le droit de rigoler alors qu’est-ce qu’il nous reste?… :blink:

J’ai été étonné qu’ils encaissent des chèques en Euros d’une banque française, mais ça a fonctionné comme ça pendant au mois deux ans si ce n’est plus, avant de donner du fric à Paypal. D’autres membre français pourraient le confirmer.
Il y a certainement des frais, ils sont en partie couverts par les 15 € qui sont plus hauts que 15 Dollars.
Les frais c’est pour la W.A.A. qui ne s’en souciaient pas à l’époque.

C’est quoi cette histoire de Champion du monde, ah ! tu parles de LUCIE J.

En regardant le commentaires de Redbow en mars 2016, tu étais déjà passé par Paypal, pas moi.

Regardes le commentaire de Crocrodile, il a envoyé un chèque en € en 2016.

C’est toujours possible pour les réfractaires à Paypal….. par contre aucune idée de comment ça marche pour entrer sur le site et être identifié comme membre.

Thank you for asking about membership payments. Here is an update:

We have a new bank account and a new PayPal account. We are now waiting on our webmaster to link the PayPal account to the website. I will try to send out an e-mail notice when the link is completed.

Because paying dues is so much harder for non-US members without PayPal, we will continue to list your membership as current. You will not be removed from the member list and you will continue to receive the ATLATL newsletter.

Continue to check the website for any new developments.
